Hans-Michael Klein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the Düsseldorf Medical School. Besides valve surgery, he is especially interested in different approaches to myocardial regeneration and revascularisation, such as transmyocardial laser treatment and stem cell therapy for end-stage heart failure. Professor Klein received his MD and PhD at Düsseldorf Medical School. He specialised in general, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery.
