At the end of this conference the participant should have knowledge of the following areas:

1. A general overview of the state of the art in cardiac electrophysiology.
2. Treatment of atrial fibrillation including medical therapy, ablation techniques, surgical approaches, device management and patient selection for each of these therapies.
3. Device management of heart failure including biventricular pacing and defibrillation with an understanding of the latest clinical trials.
