Description:
Clinical Transformation is a large endeavor for any health care system and leaders across the industry are planning/executing their new designs for success. Technology enables transformation that can address age-old problems of patient safety, regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, productivity, and flawed clinical team workflow. These benefits are valuable, but pursuit of large scale transformation has significant organizational risk if not properly managed. Providence Western Washington outlined an aggressive Electronic Health Record plan to support clinical excellence and patient safety goals. By leveraging organizational expertise they were able to transform care delivery at four facilities, impacting over 5,000 staff/MD’s in less than 24 months.
